Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair activities across the property, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of the hotel’s systems and facilities, ensuring preventive maintenance is performed regularly.
- Manage and lead a team of maintenance staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee all vendor and contractor relationships for repairs, renovations, and maintenance projects.
- Develop and implement maintenance policies and standard operating procedures to ensure the safety and efficiency of all systems.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding building codes, fire safety, and health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Assist in hotel renovation and refurbishment projects, coordinating with the General Manager and contractors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment servicing, and safety inspections.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary to minimize downtime and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Act as the hotel’s point of contact for emergency maintenance situations and develop a plan for crisis management.
- Provide technical support to hotel staff regarding facility-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Hotel Manager.
Requirements:
- Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Ability to lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance professionals.
- Experience with vendor and contractor negotiations and oversight.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, building codes, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and nights when needed.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move throughout the hotel property for up to 8 hours daily, including extended periods of walking and standing.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Position involves frequent bending, reaching, and stooping for property inspections.
- Must be able to navigate multiple floors and respond quickly to various locations throughout the property.
